Equestrian Statue of Joan of Arc

Created by sculptor Anna Hyatt Huntington, the monument depicts an armored Joan of Arc leading a military charge during the Hundred Years’ War. Unveiled to mark the 500th anniversary of the French martyr’s birth, it was the first statue in New York City designed by a woman.
