New York Public Library "Beauty" Statue

Audrey Munson served as the model for “Beauty”, a sculpture by Frederick William MacMonnies that flanks the entrance to the main branch of the New York Public Library. Munson posed for over 30 statues across the city and became so widely represented in its public art that she was famously dubbed “Miss Manhattan”.
