Led by Anne-Rachel Schiffmann, Director of Interior Design and Senior Architect at Snøhetta, 113 Spring represents a new typology in urban design: a living lab, concept space, and community nexus where the future of luxury, well-being, and longevity are explored together. Through Schiffmann’s leadership, 113 Spring exemplifies how architecture led by women can reimagine the built environment as a catalyst for connection, sustainability, and holistic wellness. Embodying the spirit of what it truly means to be Built by Women.
113 Spring redefines the traditional retail model through a curated, sustainable encounter that balances thoughtful products with engaging, educational experiences. Located within a landmarked cast-iron building in the heart of SoHo, 113 Spring continues that legacy through design that honors history while embracing transformation. The 3,000-square-foot space is conceived as a holistic well-being destination that unites cutting-edge services, community events, and product discovery. Visitors encounter a curated gallery showcasing emerging brands and collaborators, a maker bar for hands-on workshops, and a private room offering personalized consultations and transformative services. A small food and beverage program complements these experiences with seasonal, nutritionally informed menus.
Snøhetta’s design, guided by Schiffmann’s philosophy of adaptability and longevity, employs a minimal footprint approach emphasizing flexibility and evolution over permanence. Modular furniture designed for reuse, scrim partitions that reveal and conceal program areas, and responsive ambient displays all support an environment that is dynamic and regenerative. Digital installations developed with Modem and FIELD.IO interact in real time with light, weather, and human movement, creating a living architecture powered by SpringOS, a proprietary spatial intelligence platform. 113 Spring embodies visionary female leadership, transforming design into a dynamic expression of sustainability, inclusivity, and the enduring power of place to nurture collective well-being.
